Milwaukee family’s holiday tradition of giving lives on
Green Bay Packers Running Back Ty Montgomery is teaming up with the Blood Center of Wisconsin to save lives!
Montgomery was born with sickle cell trait and can sometimes feel the symptoms of sickle cell disease.
He was at Riverside High School on Tuesday to tell students blood donations can help people with the disease.
"I personally just found out donating blood can help sickle cell disease. I wasn't aware of that years ago so this is really eye opening to me and to make more African American kids aware of it, I think it's helpful and hopefully, they view it as a way to help their community," said Ty Montgomery.
Montgomery was also encouraging kids to do some form of community service.
