Packers release TE Taylor, promote WR Dorsey from practice squad

GREEN BAY - The Packers released fourth-year tight end Ryan Taylor Monday, and filled his roster spot by promoting receiver Kevin Dorsey from the practice squad.

Taylor was a seventh round draft choice of the Packers in 2011 and played in 50 games for the Pack. He had 8 career catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Dorsey was a seventh round in 2013 who spent all of last season injured reserve. He's been on Green Bay's practice squad since the beginning of the season. Dorsey will wear number 13.

The Packers also signed rookie CB Tay Glover-Wright to the practice squad Monday. Glover-Wright played college football at Utah State under current Badgers coach Gary Andersen. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Falcons in May, then released in August.

The Packers travel to Miami Sunday to battle Joe Philbin and the Dolphins.
