Packers Move Player to Active Roster from Practice Squad
The Green Bay Packers have signed Corner-Back Robertson Daniel to the active roster from the practice squad and placed Tight-End Andrew Quarless on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Friday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Daniel, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound rookie out of Brigham Young, has spent the season on the Packers’ practice squad since being signed on Sept. 7. He originally signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders on May 8, 2015, but was released on Sept. 1, 2015. He played two seasons at BYU after transferring from De Anza College in Cupertino, Calif. In his two seasons at BYU, Daniel played in 25 games with 22 starts and registered 110 tackles (87 solo), three interceptions, 23 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one sack. He will wear No. 31.
