Packers Mason Crosby to Sign Autographs Sunday in Brookfield
In advance of Mother’s Day, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network is teaming up with Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby to increase awareness of the importance of breast cancer screening.
For a suggested donation of $5, Mason Crosby will autograph specially designed greeting cards that can be given to loved ones for Mother’s Day. Crosby will also sign limited edition pink mini footballs that will be available to purchase for $25. One hundred percent of profits from sales and donations will support Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin breast cancer research.
The event will take place at Brookfield Square Mall in the center court area outside of JCPenny located at 95 N Moorland Road in Brookfield.
The signing will take place on Sunday, May 1 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
In 2016, According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 246,6600 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the United States, and approximately 61,000 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer). This year, more than 40,000 American women will die from breast cancer. African-American women are more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer at a younger age and face a higher risk of dying of breast cancer than others.
All proceeds from the donations and the purchase of mini footballs and cards will support Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin breast cancer research.
