The transactions were announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Campbell, a 6-foot-5, 330-pound second-year player, originally was selected in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft by the New York Jets out of the University of Michigan. After being released by the Jets on Aug. 30, 2014, he was signed to the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad on Oct. 7, 2014, where he remained for the rest of the regular season. Campbell was released by the Bills on Sept. 4, 2015. He will wear No. 62 for the Packers.

Williams, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound rookie out of the University of Miami (Fla.), started his college career at Memphis before transferring to Miami after his freshman season. He started 10 of 22 games played in his career at Memphis and Miami, completing 202 of 343 passes (59.1 percent) for 2,531 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
