Packers' Franklin forced to retire

GREEN BAY--Running back Johnathan Franklin will be forced to retire because of a neck injury, he confirmed today on Twitter.
Coach Mike McCarthy also confirmed the news today after the final day of Packers mini-camp.
Franklin suffered the injury during week 12 of the 2013 season against Minnesota. The fourth-round pick out of UCLA was headed into his second season with the Packers in 2014.
