Packers add Burgess to active roster

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Green Bay Packers have added inside linebacker James Burgess to their active roster and released offensive lineman Ben Braden.

Burgess has spent the last five years in the NFL bouncing around from team to team before leading the Jets in tackles last season. The Packers will be the eighth team Burgess has joined in his career.

He was originally signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville where he was teammates with Packers star CB Jaire Alexander.
