GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fan reaction has been anywhere from lukewarm to very approving when it comes to the firing of Mike McCarthy.
A few hundred fans went to Lambeau Field on Monday for an autograph signing. While getting an autograph from the likes of Davante Adams is a rush, many people say the bigger jolt to their fandom came on Sunday.
"The whole bar erupted in cheers. It was kind of funny," said Amanda Sullivan, a Packers fan from South Carolina.
Sunday's game was actually Logan Sweetser's first and to put McCarthy's career in perspective, Logan was two years old when he was first named head coach.
"I was just on my phone and I just see that 'Packers Mike McCarthy got fired' and I'm like what? I am 14 and I live in Arizona but I've been a lifelong Packer fan. Hate the Cardinals," said Sweetser.
Some fans had mixed feelings.
"And he's like 'Oh yeah, they let him go. Aren't you excited?' And I was like 'Mmm' you know? 13 years is a long time," said Daniel Lapinski, a Packers fan from Superior.
Other fans sense opportunity.
"There was just something that wasn't clicking this year," said Bruce Teeter, a Packers fan from Delavan.
Although some fans did toss out some names of potential future head coaches, many just said they were hoping for a strong finish to the season this time.
