GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) – An active shooter drill was held at a vacant Grafton business on Thursday.
First responders from around Ozaukee County participated in the exercise. As officers went from room to room, they encountered Concordia University actors simulating gunshot wounds.
“It was extremely realistic,” Emergency Manager director Scott Ziegler said. “We needed that to really stress our responders as they've been dealing with drills and everything else up to this point. We needed to make it more realistic to really put it to the test.”
The drill will be evaluated so first responders can make improvements to their response.
