Over 800 Dresses Donated for Special Needs Prom

GREENFIELD - Instead of a worship service, a Greenfield church is serving one community by giving them a prom night.

It's the second year that the Ridge Community Church is hosting "A Night to Remember" which is a prom held in June for those with special needs. Yesterday, the ladies had their chance to pick out the perfect dress. There were over 800 dresses for them to choose from. All of the dresses were donated and the ladies get to keep whatever dress that they pick out. Seamstresses were also on site to make minor alterations. The girls also received a coupon for free dry cleaning. On the day of the actual prom, a local salon will be doing hair and makeup.

Male guests also receive a complimentary tuxedo rental for the event.

The Night to Remember Prom will take place on June 6th at The Ridge. The event is open to any person with special needs who wants to feel like a VIP for the day. Limo rides, red carpet walk, dancing, paparazzi, and food are all parts of the event. This year, it will be an 80's theme.
