One Still Missing After Police Lock Down Walmart to Search for Armed Robbery Suspects

On Saturday, October 24 at approximately 3:19 PM, the New Berlin Police Department was advised of an armed robbery that just occurred in the City of Waukesha. The suspects were identified as two or possibly three black males last seen driving a white SUV.

At 3:26 PM, the suspect vehicle was observed by a New Berlin Police Officer at the intersection of West Greenfield Avenue at South Moorland Road. New Berlin officers followed the suspect vehicle, which turned into Walmart located at 15205 W. Greenfield Ave. While in the parking lot, the suspects fled from the vehicle.

One suspect fled eastbound through the parking lot into the cemetery. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was subsequently taken into custody. The other two suspects fled from the vehicle possibly going into Walmart. One suspect was later seen running westbound through the marsh along Greenfield Avenue and was later taken into custody at Walgreens, 15650 W. Greenfield Ave, by New Berlin and City of Brookfield Police officers.

Walmart was locked down and all customers and employees were asked to exit. Officers from New Berlin PD, Brookfield PD and Waukesha Co. Sheriff’s Dept. cleared and secured Walmart.

The suspects, vehicle, and all evidence recovered at the scene were turned over to the City of Waukesha Police Department.
