One person killed in fatal pedestrian accident in Caledonia

Caledonia Police are investigating a fatal accident between a car and a pedestrian. It happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday, August 9. A vehicle traveling north on Middle Road near 5 1/2 Mile Road crossed the center line and struck a female pedestrian. The vehicle then struck an utility pole.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The 34-year-old male driving the vehicle is in custody, and charges are pending.
