One person injured in Oak Creek house fire

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person was injured in a house fire on Thursday evening.

The Oak Creek Fire Department was called out to the 6600 block of S. 20th Street around 9 p.m. for a report of a fire in a single-family home.

The fire was located in the kitchen area of the home and was quickly extinguished.

One of the residents of the home was taken to a local hospital for a fire-related injury. There is currently no word on their condition.

Two other residents were displaced due to fire and smoke damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
