One person dead following car vs. tree accident near 40th and Highland

One person is dead following an accident near 40th and Highland.
According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner, they were called out for a fatality after a car crashed into a tree.
The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m.
Police and fire remain on scene at this time.
There is currently no word on what lead up to the crash.
