One injured after hitting tree following shots fired report near 43rd and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police tell CBS 58 that they received a report around 11:55 a.m. Saturday that shots were fired at a car near 43rd and Villard.

No one was hit by gunfire, but a car that was believed to be targeted swerved and ended up hitting a tree near 47th and Villard.

One person in that car was taken to Froedtert hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. 

The car started on fire shortly after the person was extricated.
