MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened late last night around 10:30p.m. involving one vehicle and a pedestrian near 22nd and National Ave.

A 47-year-old was crossing the street when they were struck by a passing vehicle who did not stop or return to the scene of the accident. The victim suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Milwaukee Police state that they are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the hit and run and are actively searching to identify a vehicle and suspect in this crime.
