One bad pitch dooms dominant Garza in 1-0 loss

MILWAUKEE - Matt Garza's Brewers debut was magnificent except for one bad pitch to Chris Johnson in the seventh inning. That pitch left the yard for the game's only run in a 1-0 loss.

Garza threw six no-hit innings and struck out seven batters in total on the day. The Brewers managed just two hits, both in the same inning from Logan Schafer and Aramis Ramirez, but could not put a run across against Aaron Harang and the Braves relievers.

The Brewers have Thursday off before starting a weekend series in Boston Friday.
