Olivier-Maxence Prosper headed to the Dallas Mavericks with the 24th overall pick

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Marquette standout Olivier-Maxence Prosper has been selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 24th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He will be traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

The 20-year-old entered as one of the younger prospects in the draft.

He averaged 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.7 rebounds for the Golden Eagles this past season.

Prosper becomes the first Golden Eagle to get drafted since 2016, when the Detroit Pistons selected Henry Ellenson with the 18th overall pick.

Last year, Justin Lewis went undrafted to the Chicago Bulls, and Markus Howard went undrafted to the Denver Nuggets in 2020.
