Old Town Inn in Germantown will close after service on Friday, July 31, 2015, for a one-month renovation and reopen on September 4.
When it reopens it will be named Old Town Beer Hall.
Owners Chaz Hastings and Josh Neureuther will invest $75,000 for its renovation in hopes to open a one-of-a-kind Bavarian style beer hall. The renovations will include new bench style communal seating, hand painted murals, signage, liter glassware, an authentic German menu and much more.
Chaz Hastings owns Milwaukee Harley-Davidson and the Ride Entertainment.
Hastings and Neureuther are looking forward to serving not only Hofbrau bier but also Weihenstephan bier, which comes from the oldest brewery in the world since 1040.
“Old Town Inn, which opened in 1875, added the hall in 1898. At that time, it was primarily used for banquets, weddings, and dances, so we’d love to see those kind of events come back.” according to Neureuther. “I can’t think of a better fit for Germantown! We are unique in the fact that we not only have a beer garden but we have a beer stube and will soon have a full-sized beer hall just like you would find in Munich, Germany.”
