Officials: Milwaukee man used golf clubs to smash windows, doors of Temple Menorah Synagogue

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 59-year-old man has been formally charged after authorities say he vandalized the Temple Menorah Synagogue in Milwaukee.
According to a criminal complaint, a 911 call came into Milwaukee police on Sunday, June 15, from a person who had been observing the synagogue's surveillance video. The complaint says the caller saw a man -- later identified as Daniel Kiltinen -- set fire to papers and take golf clubs and break several windows and glass on doors of the synagogue.
Investigators say the synagogue had been having issues with Kiltinen "for some time now," saying he would make antisemitic comments toward the security and their religion.
The synagogue's surveillance video gave authorities a clear look at Kiltinen.
He's been charged with one count of criminal damage to property, use of a dangerous weapon.
Court records show cash bond was set at $1,000 Wednesday morning.
Kiltinen is due back in court July 21.
