National Weather Service: EF-0 tornadoes confirmed in Lake Geneva, Camp Lake Monday

CAMP LAKE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Another EF-0 tornado was reported in the Camp Lake area of Kenosha County on Monday, Aug. 10.
Prelim info from survey crew found damage to buildings and trees in N IL just across the WI state line consistent with a low end EF-1 tornado. The tornado continued NE into the Camp Lake area of Kenosha Co. where damage to trees was observed consistent with an EF-0 tornado. #wiwx

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The National Weather Service reported an EF-0 tornado occurred in Lake Geneva Monday, Aug. 10.
The NWS said winds upwards of 80 mph were recorded and produced tree damage with multiple large limbs and tree trunks knocked down or snapped.
This is the first tornado report of the season for southeast Wisconsin.

SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- The National Weather Service will be surveying storm damage in three different areas on Tuesday, August 11.
This comes after a storm moved through the area on August 10.

The team will survey damage in the Camp Lake area in Kenosha County, the Lake Geneva area in Walworth County and areas north of Union Grove in Racine County.

The survey teams will be able to determine if a tornado went through the area.
