NWS: EF-1 tornado touched down northwest of Wausau

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- The National Weather has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down north west of Wausau near the Walden subdivision. It occurred around 1 a.m. Monday morning.

The National Weather Service reports straight-line wind damage
occurred with the severe thunderstorm in addition to the tornado.

NWS estimates wind speed peaked at 105 mph.

The storm brought down dozens of trees and caused power outages in that area.

No injuries have been reported.
