WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- If you live in Wauwatosa or you plan on driving through, you'll want to know about a significant road closing.
Starting Friday, July 10, at 7 p.m., all three lanes of westbound North Avenue and all but one lane of eastbound North Avenue will be closed at I-41.
For 36 hours, crews will be working on a storm retention pond that's part of the zoo interchange reconstruction project.
"We're gonna need to be able to close the area to dig down roughly 20-25 feet, place the new pipe in the right location and then backfill and resurface the roadway," said Michael Pyritz with Wisconsin DOT.
They expect the work to be done by 7 a.m. Sunday morning, July 12.
