MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With coronavirus cases on the rise in Wisconsin, Hunger Task Force anticipates continued and increased need in Milwaukee throughout the holiday season. This year, Hunger Task Force aims to provide as many families as possible with a turkey to be the centerpiece of their Thanksgiving table, and encourages the public to be especially generous with their turkey donations this year.
As turkeys are donated, the Turkey Ticker count will be updated daily on Hunger Task Force’s electronic signboard off I-94 and online at Hunger Task Force’s website.
Turkeys are $15 each and will be matched bird-for-bird all November long by Rexnord Corporation. This is the tenth year Rexnord has participated in this campaign. Donations can be made online at www.HungerTaskForce.org at any time, from anywhere, all month.
Meantime, CBS 58 is teaming up with Brewers Community Foundation & Hunger Task Force on Friday, November 20th to help feed Milwaukee-area families in need as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches. On Friday, November 20th, we will host the “Drive-Thru Food Drive” at Miller Park. Food can be dropped off at Helfaer Field at Miller Park between 5:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information, CLICK HERE.
