No alumni of the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team were drafted in the NBA Draft Thursday night. Going into the draft, Nigel Hayes was projected to have the best chance with many experts projecting he would go in the second round. Zak Showalter and Bronson Koenig were also hoping to be drafted.
As of Friday morning, University of Wisconsin tweeted congratulations to Nigel Hayes that he signed with the New York Knicks.
Reports are also coming in that Bronson Koenig will sign with the Milwaukee Bucks which should make plenty of Badgers fans happy.
No rumors yet on where Germantown native Zak Showalter will end up.
Another person of interest for Milwaukee that was not drafted is native Deonte Burton. Reports have come in that Burton will join the Minnesota Timberwolves.
