Nicolet High School rolls out red carpet for students

GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) – Nicolet High School in Glendale welcomed its students back to class by rolling out the red carpet Tuesday morning.

Teachers and staff lined the carpet to greet the students as they walked into the building.

It’s a tradition dating back since 2008 meant to ease the first day jitters and let students know they’ll have the support of the entire school year-round.

“Always nice to see teachers’ smiling faces instead of getting into class and getting right into it. It’s nice to have a little music as you walk in,” says senior David Zetley.

Ronald Reagan School in New Berlin had a similar celebration Tuesday as well.
