NFL Draft 2017: Packers select CB Kevin King
The Packers chose to trade away their draft pick in the first round to the Cleveland Browns. Instead of their first round pick, the Packers received the Browns pick in the second and fourth rounds meaning the Packers had the first pick of the second round.
With their first pick of the 2017 NFL draft, the Packers chose CB Kevin King.
King was an honorable mention All Pac-12 selection the past two seasons. He notched 44 tackles and two interceptions for the Washington Huskies in 2016. He’s unusually tall for a player at his position and has experience as a starting safety. Scouts believe he’ll need to be more aggressive as a tackler in the NFL.
