(CBS 58) – Next-generation TVs could target ads to households in the future.
According to Reuters, smart TV manufacturer Vizio has formed a partnership with niene media and advertising companies to develop an industry standard that will allow smart TVs to target advertisements to specific households.
Experts say right now, TVs don’t have the technology to make the targeted advertising possibly but Vizio says it will begin using the technology in its future TVs.
