The association offers artists a chance to apply for up to $1,000 to create or perform an art piece at the Halloween gathering, scheduled from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21.
The event, taking place on the Wednesday through Saturday, welcomes works related to the spooky event theme, the "Creature from the Humboldt Park Lagoon." Submissions should meet the following criteria:

- Visibility during both day and night;
- Accessibility for all visitors;
- Potential for storage and transport in a pick-up vehicle.
Additionally, consideration will be given to pieces that do not require a power source and those that can utilize less frequently activated areas of the park.
Applications should include descriptions and information about prior work and must be submitted by July 30. The selected artists will be invited to sketch and present their ideas by Aug. 30.
Successful applicants will receive their stipends and contracts on Sept. 14, and the installation of art pieces will commence on Oct. 14. The Pumpkin Pavilion event begins Oct. 18.
