Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers to offer bilingual medical and behavioral health service following Waukesha Parade Attack

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) –  Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers - Waukesha clinic is offering its services as an available resource to anyone needing medical or behavioral health services now and in the future, as the Waukesha community tries to cope following the Waukesha Parade Attack.

In addition to providing medical services, the clinic also has behavioral health clinicians who can help adults and children coping with the recent tragedy.

These services are offered in both English and Spanish.

"Nearly 15% of Waukesha residents are Hispanic," the clinic said in a statement Wednesday, Nov. 24. "To help serve this population, we have several bilingual (English, Spanish) medical and behavioral health clinicians. We also never turn anyone away who needs our care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay."

Officials say that anybody, adult or minor, feeling emotional distress and seeking support can contact the clinic to connect with our behavioral health services.

"We’re here to help the community get the support they need," the clinic said. "When they need it most."

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers - Waukesha is located at 309 E. North Street in Waukesha.
