New Technology at the Zoo for Children

Kids are going to have more hands on opportunities at the Milwaukee County Zoo thanks to some new technology.

The Zoological Society was given a $100,000 gift that allowed them to buy all new equipment, including tablets and microscopes.

That will help enhance the learning experience for kids who visit the conservation education center.

The basis of this program is having the students engage in science much as the zoo's veterinary staff would do to try and solve a mystery.

The new technology was made possible by a grant from Thrivent Mutual Funds.
