Fire leaves Palmyra American Legion post heavily damaged
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Aaron Lipski, fourth-generation firefighter and longtime member of the Milwaukee Fire Department, was sworn in as the new chief on Friday, Oct. 30.
"I see my role as fire chief to be more than just a boss or the head of a bureaucratic department. I see it as leader, I see it as friend, neighbor. Someone who must demand change," said Chief Aaron Lipski.
Lipski served as the assistant chief of the department's support bureau along with being the citywide commander of firefighting and EMS operations.
He succeeds retiring MFD Chief Mark Rohlfing who was given a heartfelt sendoff Friday. A ceremony with fellow firefighters and city leaders was held for him at the Milwaukee Fire Department.
Congrats to new Chief Lipski and happy retirement to Chief Rohlfing.
