New Fab Lab introduced at Washington High School of Information Technology

Students at Washington High School of Information Technology in Milwaukee now have a new tool for learning about work in the tech field.

A Fab Lab which is short for Digital Fabrication Laboratory was launched at the school.

It gives students access to high-level computer technology such as a 3-d scanner and laser engraver that can help them make a variety of projects.

One student we spoke with used it to make sticker decals and t-shirts for the school.

The equipment was purchased using a $25,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
