New Bon-Ton owner planning to re-open three Boston Store locations in the Milwaukee area

(CBS 58) -- It's been a roller coaster ride for shoppers as Boston Store locations closed and now announce they're opening again.

CBS 58 spoke to a representative with Bon-Ton, to learn more about their comeback.

The online site is already up and running and they will also be bringing back brick and mortar stores, with three locations planned for the Milwaukee area.

Bon-Ton says the stores will be a bit smaller and will sell the same brands and products as before but will carry items that people need to see in person, like a mattress and clothes for specific events.

"We wanted to relaunch the Bon-Ton stores for three reasons. One is we wanted to keep an American icon alive. Number two is the love for the customers. We heard how sad people were that the store was closing. And then the really amazing loyal workforce," said Fred Hulls, the Vice President of Communications for Bon-Ton Stores.

People who worked at Boston Store before will be recruited. Bon-Ton says former employees should contact them right away. They plan to have stores open in the area before the holidays.
