Bachata is an eight-beat dance with Latino origins, similar to Salsa dancing, but it has a style and sensuality of its own. I got a chance to try my hands, and feet, at it Thursday during The CBS58 Morning News. If you can count, and move back and forth, you can accomplish this dance. The Wherehouse in Walker's Point is the backdrop of a first of its kind Bachata Festival happening through the weekend. Anyone can participate, and a 500 dollar prize is even up for grabs. Also, 25% of the proceeds raised will go toward hurricane relief in Puerto Rico.
