New Additions to Miller Park for Opening Day
MILWAUKEE-- Flat breads with delicious toppings, gourmet wraps, and burgers topped with bacon-- plenty of tempting treats to whet just about any baseball fan's palate at Miller Park.
\"If you can't tell I'm really, really happy,\" said Joe Sorge, owner of AJ Bombers.
AJ Bombers is the newest addition to the ballpark food scene.
\"We hope that it will be a huge attraction,\" said Sorge, \"we're really, really eager to serve fans.\"
Menus and food options are just one of many changes fans will see on Opening Day at Miller Park.
\"It's all about the fan experience and the guest experience,\" said Rick Schlesinger, a spokesman for the Milwaukee Brewers, \"and I think our mission here as custodians to this beautiful ball park is to always evolve it.\"
From the Toyota Territory, where fans have a front seat in center field, to a special area where fans can purchase their own piece of Brewers history, officials at Miller Park have their work cut out making sure every detail is perfect.
Walk to the field concourse and you'll find a special shop where fans can purchase autographed game memorabilia.
\"There's been an explosion in our business in terms of demand for this kind of stuff, so we put it all in one area,\" said Schlesinger.
In the main gift shop, Schlesinger says fans will find a wider selection of Brewers gear for women and gear featuring the newest member of the Brewers' family-- Hank the Dog.
\"Everybody loves Hank, and we're just happy to be a little part of his world,\" said Schlesinger.
As crews work on all the last minute details, members of the brewers family say they're just proud to be part of this milwaukee tradition.
\"Frankly as a baseball fan it's a dream come true, so we're really, really happy to call this work,\" said Sorge.
Opening Day is Monday.
