Neighbors Say Overnight Shooting Leaves Two Children Without Their Mother

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating after a 38-year-old man shot and killed his 40-year-old live-in girlfriend. This happened around 3 a.m. Sunday morning near 94th and Bradley. Police say an argument broke out between the two and shots were fired.

The woman was transported from the scene to a local hospital where she died from her injury.

Neighbors say the couple only lived in the neighborhood for a couple months, and really just kept to themselves.

Neighbors also say the victim had two kids who became known in this neighborhood.

One neighbor, Aaron Walton, says the kids are about middle school aged, and he would play football with the victim's son.

That neighbor says he's worried the kids were in the house this morning and saw everything.

Walton said, "That's terrible man, I mean I couldn't understand or feel the feelings and the emotions that young man is going through, him and his sister, is going to right now after losing they mother in such a critical situation like that. I mean it got to be traumatic for them man."
