WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – Police are still looking for whoever sexually assaulted a woman in McCarty Park last week.
After the assault happened on July 5, the woman said she knocked on someone’s door who lives across the street from the park to ask for help.
Neighbors in the area say what happened has left them uneasy.
“It was very alarming and we were shocked when we heard it because something like this has not, that I have known, has ever happened in this neighborhood before,” one neighbor told CBS 58.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 30 years old with short hair and a goatee. He was said to be wearing khaki shorts, sandals, and a blue t-shirt at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
