MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Humane Society says a bench will be dedicated in memory of a nurse who was tragically killed in a parking garage at Froedtert Hospital.
Because of her love for animals, Carlie Beaudin's family asked well-wishers to donate to the Humane Society.
The Wisconsin Humane Society shared an update on Facebook saying it has gotten nearly $40,000. The Humane Society said it's an unprecedented act of generosity from a community mourning the loss of an amazing woman.
The Humane Society says in the spring, they will place a bench in the garden of their Milwaukee Campus inscribed with one of Carlie’s favorite quotes, by A.A. Milne: “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”
