LAKE COUNTRY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A new ballpark and a new baseball team -- plenty for fans all across southeast Wisconsin to get excited about.
"It's so big and cool. Really big," said one fan.
The Lake Country Dockhounds are the 12th team in the American Association of professional baseball, playing their first game at home in Wisconsin brewing company park in front of a sold out crowd.
"It's summer, you got to have baseball," said Watson. "What more can you ask for. It will be a blast."
Fans were cheering all night for the Dockhounds.
"Everything. It's just really cool to see the players play. In real life" said one fan.
Yeah, Rather than on TV," said another fan.
It's fun to have baseball in Oconomowoc at this level," said another fan.
This is the just beginning of a new baseball venture in Oconomowoc and they will be here all summer.
"Everything's good," said Watson. Everybody is meshing together. Going to see a lot of good baseball out here.
While the rain tried to spoil the night, the Dockhounds did get their with Winnipeg tonight, on May 20.
