Navy Week in Milwaukee

The U.S. Navy is in Milwaukee this Fourth of July.  Navy Week Milwaukee,  July 4 through 10, is designed to give area residents an opportunity to learn about the Navy, its people and its importance to national security and prosperity.

                Here is a scheduled of Navy Week events.

Monday, July 4

     7:15 p.m. – 9:15 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Sousapalouza Group (Brass Band) performance at Humboldt Park

     7 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Brass Ambassadors (Brass Quintet) and Fair Winds (Woodwind Quintet) performances at Grant Park

Tuesday, July 5

     9 a.m. – 4p.m.: Navy Day at Discovery World Museum including exhibits and performances by U.S. Navy Divers, USS Constitution Sailors, USS              Milwaukee Sailors, and Great Lakes Navy Band

     Noon – 1 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Brass Ambassadors performance at Discovery World’s Rotary Amphitheater

     3 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Sousapalouza group perform/participate in Summerfest Parade

Wednesday, July 6

     Noon: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Sousapalouza performance at Seidler Park Gazebo

Thursday, July 7

     9 a.m – 5 p.m.: Thank You Thursday event at Milwaukee Public Museum including exhibits and performances by U.S. Navy Divers, USS                          CONSTITUTION Sailors, USS Milwaukee Sailors, U.S. Navy Medicine ambassadors and the Great Lakes Navy Band

    10 a.m. – Noon: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Sousapalouza performance at Milwaukee Public Museum

     Noon – 2 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Horizon performance at Milwaukee Public Museum

     4 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Fair Winds performance at Milwaukee Public Museum

     7 p.m.: Navy Band Great Lakes’ Liberty Call performance at Discovery World
