MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Everyone was getting active Wednesday, May 25, for National Senior Health & Fitness Day.
It's a day to promote the importance of regular physical activity, and to show what local organizations are doing to improve the health of older adults in their communities.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley made the official proclamation for Milwaukee County, and encouraged older residents to voice their opinions on how to improve health and wellness in the county.
"Thank you for utilizing this program and we want to let you know we are here for you," Crowley said. "Please continue to let us know what we can do to make life even easier as we continue to move forward and focus on all of our older adults, particularly here and throughout Milwaukee County, because all of you rock!"
