Santa will help flip the switch on the Milwaukee Christmas Tree in front of City Hall.

The program begins at 5 tonight, the actual lighting is at 5:29.

Rex Hayes and Anna Maria Wallace donated this year's tree.

With more than 5,000 lights and 150 ornaments, the tree should be a spectacular sight.

Because of the festivities tonight, there will be some street closures around downtown Milwaukee.

From 3 until 7 tonight all north and southbound lanes of Water Street will be closed from Wells to Kilbourn, and Wells from Water to Broadway will be shut down until 9.
