Murder trial continues Tuesday for man accused of shooting cook at east side restaurant

MILWAUKEE -- A murder trial continues Tuesday for a Milwaukee man accused of shooting a young cook at an east side restaurant last December.

Investigators say 21-year-old Reggie Evans was a cook at the George Webb Restaurant near N. Oakland and E. Locust streets. Several patrons had become unruly inside the restaurant around 2 a.m. on December 20 when a waitress asked the group to leave. The group became more agitated and Evans intervened.

Court documents say that's when 28-year-old Delorean Bryson left the restaurant and returned with a gun and shot Evans in the chest.

Evans died at the restaurant.

Jury selection wrapped up Monday and the trial is expected to resume Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
