Murder of Dane County priest remains unsolved, 23 years later

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It was 23 years ago Thursday, when people in the village of Dane awoke to the news that Father Alfred Kunz had been killed.

Dane County sheriff's deputies say the priest and canon law expert was found murdered in the hallway of St. Michael School near his living quarters.

A teacher arriving for work discovered his body around 7 a.m.

Deputies are continuing to work on this case. 

They believe they have viable suspects and continue to look for evidence or information to find Father Kunz's killer.
