BAYSIDE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Bayside Police say the cause of the odor was bear spray which is a highly concentrated pepper spray. The spray is typically used by hunters if they encounter a bear in the woods.
Two people were treated on scene for irritation but declined being taken to the hospital.
The apartment that the spray was released in is being ventilated and is not currently livable.
Bayside Police are investigating to see if the resident of the apartment intentionally discharged the airspray.
