Multiple hit or miss precip chances over the next few days
A frontal boundary has pushed into the Badger state and will stall across central Wisconsin for the next few days. Disturbances will ride along that front through Monday, bringing off and on showers and storms. We're currently seeing a few isolated sprinkles in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties right now, but shower activity won't push much farther south today.
Additional sprinkles are possible overnight with hit or miss showers and thunder in northern counties during the day Friday as they'll be closer to the front.
Scattered showers and isolated storms will become more numerous across the whole area Friday night.
High pressure will generally be in control on Saturday, which should keep most of the day dry, but additional showers and storms are possible by Saturday night. More off and on waves of showers and storms are expected Sunday and Monday
Even though we've been in an active weather pattern over the last few weeks, the precipitation that's fallen hasn't been very heavy. Since the beginning of climatological spring (March 1st), many places in SE WI are running slightly below normal for precip, which is surprising given our soggy March and first week of April.
We're not in a drought by any means, but a good downpour from a thunderstorm would help out a bit! We're still expecting cooler by the lake conditions over the next several days, but temps overall will be above normal. Head inland if you want more days in the 70s and to avoid an afternoon temperature drop with the lake breeze!
