Mukwonago Motorcyclist Dies in Late Night Crash

A 52-year-old Mukwonago man was killed in a late night car/motorcycle crash near Eagle Friday night.  According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, the man was the driver of a motorcycle struck head-on by a car driven by a 19-year old woman from Palmyra.  The accident occurred around 11:30 PM on Waukesha County Road NN west of Jericho Road in the Town of Eagle. 

According to the Sheriff’s report, the car was traveling west and attempting to pass a second westbound vehicle when it collided with two motorcycles traveling east on the same highway.  The man, the driver of the lead motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of a second motorcycle, a 46-year-old man from the Town of Vernon was also struck and injured.  He was taken to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.   The woman received medical treatment for what is termed minor injuries.

County Highway NN was closed for several hours as the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident.  The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Town of Eagle and Mukwonago Fire Departments.
