MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Teachers are being recognized during Teacher Appreciation Week, and one Milwaukee Public Schools teacher got a special shout-out Thursday night from hip-hop star Chance The Rapper.
Margaret Roushar teaches first grade at Parkview School in Milwaukee, and she won a Twilight Award during Thursday night's presentation on Instagram.
Chance The Rapper is singling out several teachers for their dedication, their creativity and their selfless concern for their students.
"Is it true that you used your stimulus check to create packages for your students?" he asked.
"Well that isn't actually my money, Chance," Roushar replied. "So yes, I did use my stimulus check for that."
Not only does Margaret Roushar win $15,000, but her school on Milwaukee's northwest side wins $15,000 as well.
