MPD Teams Up With MATC to Make Thanksgiving Dinner for 300

Police Officers from Milwaukee Police District 5 have partnered with students in the Milwaukee Area Technical College School of Culinary Arts, to prepare a thanksgiving feast for approximately 300 people.

On Thursday, officers and the students were cutting turkeys and preparing all the side dishes for the community Thanksgiving dinner taking place on Sunday.

District 5 Officers along with the Milwaukee Archdiocese, Riverwest Food Pantry and several other community organizations have partnered to make this dinner a reality and hope it will be come an annual event.

The Thanksgiving dinner is being funded by businesses within the greater Milwaukee area through donations made to our community partners at Safe & Sound. The Culinary School at MATC has graciously offered to prepare the traditional Thanksgiving meal.
